ERIA President Pays Courtesy call on Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry

Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimura, President of ERIA, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Motoo Hayashi, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, on 6 November 2015.

Prof. Nishimura briefed the Minister on recent developments at ERIA, and introduced ERIA's latest research publication, Comprehensive Asia Development Plan (CADP) 2.0.

He also assured the Minister of ERIA's assistance by highlighting its work and role as a Sherpa organization in support of ASEAN and the East Asia Summit.

The Minister welcomed the significant progress ERIA has made and expressed his appreciation to the President and ERIA for their dedication to ASEAN and the East Asia region. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to forge closer cooperation.

The Minister has been a strong supporter of ERIA as the serving vice chairman of the parliamentary league for ERIA since the Institute's establishment.
