As a result, demand for petroleum is also rapidly increasing along with CO₂ emissions.  Electric Vehicle (EVs) have been proposed as a solution to the rising GHG emissions.  But is the region actually ready to handle a surge of EVs with the appropriate infrastructure and investments?
