India

India is a founding member of the East Asia Summit and an active member of ERIA’s research network in the region. India offers a sizeable market and demographic dividend to investors and enjoys a leading share in global trade in services. India influences and shapes the regional connectivity in the Indo-Pacific, across all the pillars - economic, security, and social-cultural. ASEAN-India connectivity is central to all connectivity plans in the region. ERIA works closely with the government and research networks in India on themes of economic integration and sustainable development.
