Jakarta, 23 July 2015 - The ERIA Governing Board (GB) Members, in their 8th GB meeting held on 5 June 2015, approved the change of position titles of ERIA Executive Members.

The Executive Director position concurrently held by Professor Hidetoshi Nishimura is changed to President. The executive position titles of General Manager and Deputy General are changed to Chief Operating Officer, Director General of Administration and Personnel Department, and Deputy Director General, Administration and Personnel Department, respectively.

This change reflects the change in ERIA's status from an Indonesian foundation when it was established in 2008 to an international organisation, by virtue of the Host Country Agreement signed between the Government of Indonesia and ERIA in October 2014.

ERIA is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Izuru Kobayashi as the Institute's new COO and Director General of Administration and Personnel Department. Mr. Kobayashi previously worked for Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as the Director of Business Environment Enhancement Division. Mr. Kobayashi graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Law, and received his MBA from Yale University.
