Jakarta, 4 October 2021: We are delighted to announce the winners of the 2021 Healthy Aging Prize for Asian Innovation, an award that recognizes organizations in Asia that are pioneering innovative approaches to supporting older people. The award is an initiative of ERIA and JCIE (Japan Center for International Exchange) as part of our work to promote cooperation and information-sharing on the important challenges posed by population aging, which is carried out under the auspices of the Asia Health and Wellbeing Initiative (AHWIN).

For the 2nd year of the Healthy Aging Prize for Asian Innovation (HAPI), we have selected four Grand Prize Winners and three Second Prize Winners from around East Asia. In addition, in light of the unique challenges posed by COVID-19, particularly for older people, we are recognizing an additional three organizations with a Special Prize for COVID-19 Response. Each of the awardees was chosen because they have developed a uniquely innovative program, service, or product that addresses a challenge facing aging societies and is worthy of being emulated in Asia and around the world.

You can learn more about all of the prize winners on the AHWIN website.
