Joint secretary of MER (Multilateral Economic Relations), Ministry of External Affairs of India, Mr. Vinod Kumar visited ERIA Annex Office on February 12, 2010.

ERIA Executive Director, Mr. Hidetoshi Nishimura mentioned the important role of India's support to ASEAN and emphasized the significance of ERIA's role as a part of ASEAN. Mr. Vinod Kumar noted the Mekong-India Economic Corridor Development, which is under East Asia Industrial Corridor(EAIC) umbrella project. (The ASEAN+6 has mandated ERIA to develop the concept of an EAIC as the model project for integration of East Asia.)
