President of ERIA Visits Governor and Vice Governor of Ehime Prefecture, Japan

Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimura, President of ERIA, met with Mr. Tokihiro Nakamura, Governor of Ehime Prefecture, Japan, and Mr. Keiji Joko, Vice Governor of Ehime Prefecture, in Ehime Prefecture, Japan, on 4 January 2016.

Prof. Nishimura briefed the officials on ERIA's research activities as well as the Institute's contribution to the ASEAN Summit held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 20-22 November 2015.

Mr. Nakamura said that Ehime Prefecture is strengthening its ties with ASEAN countries while also encouraging local companies to expand their operations overseas.

Mr. Nakamura, Mr. Joko, and Prof. Nishimura agreed to continue to cooperate in the fields of agriculture, tourism, and marine transportation.
