Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director of ERIA, called on Her Excellency Madam Yang Xiuping, Ambassador of People's Republic of China to ASEAN on June 11, 2013.

The Ambassador welcomed Prof. Nishimura and congratulated on his reappointment as the Executive Director of ERIA. Prof. Nishimura explained to the Ambassador the recent achievements and activities of ERIA.

Both the dignitaries exchanged views on the challenges of ASEAN Economic Community towards 2015, the prospect of RCEP negotiations, and the enhancement of relationship between China and ERIA. The meeting concluded with a promise of mutual goodwill and cooperation between the two.
