ERIA Executive Director, Mr. Hidetoshi Nishimura attended the council of Japan-China Economic Association (JCEA) as a councilor on March 18, 2010.

JCEA has been doing business for many years to promote technology and economic exchanges between China and Japan under the support of Japanese government (particularly Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), Japanese business community and the industrial world since it was established in 1972.

The business plan and budget for the 2010 fiscal year were mainly described and approved, and some of the important observations made during the meeting. JCEA has been supporting ERIA`s activities. (It is termed "Project of Facilitation of East Asia Regional Cooperation"). In close cooperation with JCEA, ERIA is planning to hold the Forum this year.
