The 3rd Working Group (WG) Meeting on "Sustainability Assessment of Biomass Utilisation in East Asia" was held from 10 to 12 July 2010 in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

Progress from the site visit and presentation from/ discussion with Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil and Malaysian Palm Oil Board, the WG understood the current status of palm oil utilization and found some important points to be included for our future activities. Pilot study managers had introduced their results based upon the WG reports. The revised results will be included in the final report that should follow the ERIA editing guideline.

The WG members summarized the findings and recommendations from our pilot studies and prepared the material to be presented at the upcoming Energy Ministers Meeting.
