Mr. Hidetoshi Nishimura was invited the 10th Ministerial Meeting on Infrastructure Overseas Development on 17 October 2011 at the office of the Prime Minister of Japan. The topic of the meeting was ASEAN Connectivity. Related Ministers and some government officials attended.

Mr. Nishimura explained on ERIA's works related with development of ASEAN Connectivity and stressed the importance of Mekong-India Economic Corridor (MIEC).
