Expertise

Kentaro Yamada, a Policy Fellow in ERIA’s Agriculture Unit, has a diverse range of interests that encompass policy-making in agriculture, rural engineering, and geology. Following the completion of his Ph.D. degree, he embarked on a postdoctoral research journey within the academic sphere, focusing on the paleoenvironment of ancient Earth from 2013 to 2015. Since 2015, he has been an integral part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (MAFF) in Japan, primarily contributing his expertise to rural engineering and landslide prevention initiatives.
