Jakarta, 4 March 2021: In December 2020, the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) and the Institute of Population, Health and Development (PHAD) launched the report Ageing and Health in Viet Nam: Findings of the 2018 Longitudinal Study on Ageing and Health in Viet Nam (LSAHV). Through this set of infographics, ERIA and PHAD present the basic demographic indicators to understand the status of ageing in Viet Nam population.

The LSAHV is designed to (1) investigate the health status and well-being, as well as their correlates, of Vietnamese people aged 60 years and above; and (2) assess the determinants of health status and transitions in health status and overall well-being. The data generated from the 2018 baseline survey and the succeeding waves will provide a wealth of information that will allow for a deeper understanding of ageing in Viet Nam. The full report of the 2018 LSAHV can be downloaded from: https://www.eria.org/publications/ageing-and-health-in-viet-nam/
