ERIA organized a Workshop on ERIA Research Project "Survey on the competitiveness of Vietnam's industries" and the High Level Meeting on 28th March 2011 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

In the workshop, there were 75 participants including the experts, some eminent members of communist party, and Vietnamese government officials/researchers from the ministries and related institutes. Dr. Dinh Van An, Chairman, Governing Board of ERIA, and Mr. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director, ERIA, also attended.

The possible competitiveness of Vietnam's six industries (Steel, Shipbuilding, Electronic Parts, Auto Parts, Information Technology(IT), Food Processing) were discussed there.

The results were reported to H.E. Mr. Truong Tan Sang, Politburo member and Permanent member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee.?(photo2)
