Mongolia's State Secretary Calls on ERIA President to Discuss Research Collaboration between Mongolia and ERIA

H.E. Mr. Danba Gankhuyag, State Secretary of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, called on Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimura, President of ERIA, on 22 October 2015.

The State Secretary was accompanied by H.E. Mrs. Shagdar Battsetseg, Ambassador of Mongolia to ASEAN.

Prof. Nishimura updated the State Secretary on the outcomes of recent East Asia Summit Ministerial meetings. He also explained the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) and the Comprehensive Asia Development Plan (CADP) 2.0, which is part of ERIA's contribution to connectivity in the region.�

The State Secretary appreciated the close association between Mongolia and ERIA, such as Mongolia's special observer status in the Energy Research Institute Network (ERIN).

Both dignitaries discussed further collaboration between Mongolia and ERIA, such as organizing joint studies on connectivity and power grid issues.
