Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director of ERIA had a meeting with H.E. Dato' Hasnudin Hamzah, Ambassador of Malaysia to ASEAN on January 22, 2015 at ERIA Annex Office.

The Ambassador expressed his keenness to understand ERIA's role in the region. He was given a briefing on ERIA's recent activities by Prof. Nishimura.

Prof. Nishimura also expressed ERIA's readiness to support Malaysian Chairmanship of ASEAN this year and conveyed its commitment to further strengthen ties with Malaysia.

In response, the Ambassador encouraged ERIA to continue to support ASEAN in its community building efforts.
