Executive Director of ERIA meets Senior Vice-Minister of Cabinet Office of Japan

H.E. Mr. Yasutoshi Nishimura, Senior Vice-Minister of Cabinet Office of Japan visited ERIA on July 15, 2013 and met Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director of ERIA.

Prof. Nishimura warmly welcomed the Minister and explained the progress of ERIA's establishment along with the history of economic integration in ASEAN and East Asia and reported about recent activities and achievements of ERIA, introducing some flagship projects such as Comprehensive Asia Development Plan (CADP) and Mid-Term Review of the Implementation of AEC Blueprint.

The Minister noted the ERIA's developments and expected ERIA to further contribute towards community building process in the region. The meeting also touched on the prospects of RCEP and development of Myanmar.
