ERIA Executive Director Meets with Cambodian Senior Minister and Minister of Industry and Handicrafts

Prof Hidetoshi Nishimura, ERIA Executive Director, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Dr Cham Prasidh, Senior Minister and Minister of Industry and Handicrafts of the Kingdom of Cambodia on 17 June 2014.

During his visit, Prof Nishimura explained about ERIA's recent activities, in particular, those concerning the promotion and improvement of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the ASEAN region. These included most especially the recent completion and publication of the joint ERIA-OECD report 'ASEAN SME Policy Index 2014: Towards Competitive and Innovative ASEAN SMEs.'

H.E. Dr. Cham Prasidh in turn expressed his appreciation to ERIA for the ASEAN SME Policy Index report whose findings and recommendations, according to him, have very important implications on the building of capacity for his country's Ministry of Industry and Handicrafts.
