3rd Workshop on "Analysis of Energy Saving Potential in East Asia Region"

The 3rd Working Group on "Analysis of Energy Saving Potential in East Asia Region" gathered at ERIA Annex Office from 1 to 2 March, 2010.

10 countries from ASEAN region participated in the workshop. 
At the workshop, they checked the result of Energy Outlook of each EAS countries carefully and distilled policy recommendations based on the results found.
As for the Policy recommendation, it came to the conclusion that the following 3 points are vital.
-Estimating Energy Saving Potential from each sector
-Setting Energy Saving Goals
-Evaluation of Goals

Collecting data and establishing a monitoring system are important to carry them (3 points above) into practice.
The results of Energy outlook from each EAS countries were finalized except for some countries.
