Naofumi HASHIMOTO is a medical laboratory technologist with 30 years of work experience in the health field in Asia and Africa. After the conventional typical laboratory work at general hospitals and at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID) in Japan and at governmental and mission hospitals and health centers in Malawi and Uganda, he had 6 types of works: laboratory relate projects for increasing quality laboratory services in Zambia and Cambodia, disease control related projects for Polio eradication in Kenya and HIV Prevention Parents to Child Transmission in Zimbabwe, advanced technology or products adoption projects in Zambia, projects for regulatory on medical products in  Japan and African countries, projects for WHO pre-qualification on medical products, selection and procurement of medical devices including IVD devices for Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). Many were project-based works and he planned some projects and played the roles of a Leader or an expert to the projects.
