Prof Armida S. Alisjahbana, a professor of economics at Universitas Padjadjaran, Indonesia, has been appointed to ERIA's Governing Board. The Governing Board is the decision-making body of ERIA and consists of the Secretary General of ASEAN and representatives from 16 countries.

Professor Alisjahbana has been involved in various research projects and as a consultant to the United Nations University, Institute for Advanced Study in Tokyo; the World Bank; ADB; AusAID; the European Commission; and the International Labor Organization.
