The OECD together with the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) is pleased to invite you to join the 10th of a series of webinars with prominent international experts. These webinars discuss the relationship between higher education institutions and innovation ecosystems, continuing on from our previous on-line meetings, about the Geography of Higher Education (#GoHE).
The next guest of the series “GoHE in Conversation with..” is Markus Buchhorn, from APAN.
In a 45-minute event (including Q&A), we will discuss with Markus about digital infrastructure, digital skills within HEIs, and the way in which HEIs can promote digital transformation and capabilities, in their own ecosystems and networks.
This webinar will be the first of a short series of events focussing on different aspects of the digital transformation in higher education.
Dr Markus Buchhorn is a former astrophysicist who became an IT professional with a focus on the application of information and communication technologies to support research, education and broader benefits to society. He has been the academic IT director for the Australian National University, and the Director of Services for Intersect Australia, a partnership of over a dozen major universities delivering e-Research infrastructure and services. Over the last ten years he has been working as a consultant to a range of national and state governments, international bodies as well as multiple universities and research organisations in several countries, and also as the General Manager of APAN, the Asia-Pacific Advanced Network partnership of network providers for research and education across the region. |
