Manila, 8 October 2026: ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe met with Dr Tan See Leng, Singapore’s Minister for Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry), to discuss regional energy co-operation and ERIA’s support for Singapore’s ASEAN Chairship in 2027.

President Watanabe expressed appreciation for Singapore’s leadership in advancing regional energy connectivity and its continued support for ERIA’s regional projects.

ERIA reaffirmed its readiness to support Singapore’s chairship priorities through policy research and practical co-operation, particularly in advancing and strengthening regional energy security and resilience.
