The Development of ASEAN Blue Economy Framework

As a concrete follow-up from the ASEAN Leaders’ Declaration on Blue Economy that was adopted at the 38th ASEAN Summit in 2021, the ASEAN Blue Economy Framework will be an answer to the developed strategic approach to advance ASEAN Blue Economy goals and priorities, utilising the huge untapped economic potentials of ASEAN water resources that can help to achieve #sustainabledevelopmentgoals 

The ASEAN Blue Economy Framework is one of the priority economic deliverable under Indonesia’s 2023 ASEAN Chairmanship and will be developed by the Ministry of National Development Planning of the Republic of Indonesia (BAPPENAS) and supported by the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA).
