Tokyo, 4 March 2026: The ERIA School of Government (So G) facilitated an initial meeting between H.E. Faisol Riza, Vice Minister of Industry of Indonesia, and representatives from Tokyo Gas.

The dialogue explored potential areas of collaboration, particularly in the development and utilisation of gas infrastructure. The Indonesian side expressed interest in learning from Tokyo Gas’ experience in developing and operating gas distribution systems, including the expansion of gas networks for household use.

Discussions also covered opportunities for co-operation in advancing gas pipeline infrastructure and promoting the broader use of natural gas for residential and industrial purposes across Indonesia.

This engagement forms part of ERIA’s ongoing efforts to facilitate dialogue between government stakeholders and industry, and to promote practical avenues of energy and industrial co-operation between Indonesia and Japan.
