A seminar entitled "The Comprehensive Asia Development Plan & ASEAN-Japan Partnership" organized by Japan Business Federation (Nippon Keidanren) was held on 20 May 2010 at Keidanren Kaikan in Tokyo.

Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, Secretary-General of ASEAN, delivered a speech and highlighted the significance on ASEAN-Japan partnership and cooperation among 16 countries. Mr. Fujio Mitarai, Chairman of Nippon Keidanren delivered opening remarks.

Prof. Fukunari Kimura, Chief Economist of ERIA, made a presentation on Comprehensive Asian Development Plan (CADP). The CADP will be reported to the East Asia summit in October this year. He stressed that the CADP must include the views of private sector.
