Hanoi, 22 October 2024: ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Viet Nam, H.E. Do Hung Viet, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hanoi.

During the meeting, President Watanabe updated the Deputy Minister on the organisation’s work and activities, including collaboration with leading Vietnamese institutions such as the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

ERIA and Viet Nam also discussed potential concrete collaborations in preparation for Vietnam's APEC Chairmanship in 2027. Additionally, ERIA expressed its commitment to continue supporting the ASEAN Future Forum in 2025.
