Jakarta, 10 March 2025: The Minister of Health of Indonesia, H.E. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, welcomed ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe and a delegation from the ERIA Healthcare Unit in Jakarta.

Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin expressed his deep appreciation for ERIA’s ongoing support and active role in implementing the MoU on Strategic Partnership to Enhance National Health Policy and Capacity, signed on 20 February 2024.

The courtesy visit also included in-depth discussions on potential Indonesian Ministry support for the ASEAN–Japan Medical Scholarship Program, multisectoral healthcare and ageing society innovations, and strengthening ERIA’s partnerships in healthcare financing, health technology, and workforce capacity building.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to collaborating on healthcare sector transformation in the coming years.
