Jakarta, 7 January 2026: ERIA President H.E. Tetsuya Watanabe paid a courtesy call on H.E. Helen Fazey, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom to ASEAN, at her residence in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on ASEAN’s evolving economic landscape and the broader global context. Discussions also explored potential avenues for strengthening co-operation between ERIA and the United Kingdom, particularly in the areas of sustainability, trade, and regional economic integration.

Both parties expressed a shared interest in deepening collaboration and maintaining close engagement to support policy dialogue and research initiatives that contribute to sustainable and inclusive growth in ASEAN.
