Manila, 21 September 2026: ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe held a bilateral meeting with Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry to exchange views on ongoing ASEAN–Japan co-operation and ERIA’s activities to strengthen regional economic resilience.

President Watanabe provided updates on ERIA’s ongoing projects and expressed his appreciation for METI’s continued support. The discussion also explored opportunities to translate this co-operation into practical initiatives that deliver tangible benefits for the region.

ERIA will continue supporting ASEAN–Japan co-operation through the development and implementation of projects that respond to shared economic priorities and contribute to long-term regional resilience.
