Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director of ERIA, attended the meeting of the Parliamentary League for ERIA consisting of the Liberal Democratic Party, New Komeito, and the Democratic Party of Japan led by Chairman, Mr. Toshihiro Nikai (Former Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan) on April 3,2013 in Tokyo, Japan.

The meeting was moderated by Mr. Takamori Yoshikawa, member of the House of Representatives and Mr. Nikai gave an opening remarks. Prof. Nishimura, Executive Director of ERIA, briefed on the process of ERIA's history since its establishment and its organization. He also touched upon Myanmar Comprehensive Development Vision (MCDV) as one of recent activities, highlighting the importance of strengthening connectivity in the region.

The members shared an understanding about the important role of ERIA in the region and expressed their support for ERIA.
