ERIA President Receives Courtesy Visit from the ASEAN-USAID Partnership Program Delegation

Jakarta, 11 December 2024: ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe welcomed a courtesy visit from Ella Hoxha, Chief of Party for the ASEAN-USAID Partnership Program. Hoxha was accompanied by Larry Maramis, Deputy Chief of Party, and Amores Hamonangan, Program Manager.

During the meeting, President Watanabe provided an overview of ERIA's ongoing activities and initiatives. In turn, Ella Hoxha outlined the missions and objectives of the ASEAN-USAID Partnership Program. The two leaders engaged in a productive exchange of views on key topics, including energy transition, the digital economy, capacity building, and healthcare.

The discussions also centred on identifying potential areas for collaboration between ERIA and USAID. Both parties expressed a shared commitment to strengthening ASEAN entities and addressing critical challenges in the Southeast Asian region.
