Jakarta, 21 July 2025: ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe welcomed a courtesy visit from Dato’ Ir. Ts. Abdul Razib Dawood, the new Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), marking his first visit to ERIA since assuming office earlier this year.

The meeting signalled the beginning of closer engagement between ERIA and ACE under Dato’ Razib’s leadership. The two sides exchanged views on advancing regional energy priorities, including strengthening energy security, promoting sustainability, and supporting key ASEAN initiatives such as the ASEAN Power Grid and the clean energy transition.

Both leaders acknowledged the complementary roles of ERIA and ACE in supporting ASEAN’s energy agenda and affirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration in research and policy dialogue.
