Manila, 13 June 2024: ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe met with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary of the Philippines, H.E. Alfredo Pascual, in Manila.

President Watanabe updated Secretary Pascual and high-ranking DTI officials on ERIA's recent activities and research focus. He also sought guidance from Secretary Pascual to enhance the relevance of ERIA's activities to the region and the Philippines.

Both parties exchanged views on the digital economy, human resources and higher education, decarbonisation strategy, and more. Both are keen on strengthening collaboration and partnership.
