ERIA President Meets Ambassador of Australia to ASEAN

Jakarta, 10 December 2024: ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe met with the Australian Ambassador to ASEAN, H.E. Tiffany McDonald, at her office in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Accompanied by Dr Nuki Agya Utama, Director of Energy Policy and Head of the ERIA AZE-Center, as well as his team—including Chief of Staff Yuta Okuyama and Executive Secretary Tomy Waskitho—President Watanabe discussed concrete collaborative projects between ERIA and the Australian Government.

President Watanabe thanked Ambassador McDonald for facilitating the meeting with the Hon Tim Ayres, Assistant Minister for Trade, in Vientiane last September. He expressed his desire to follow up on the conversation with the Assistant Minister and to work more closely with Australia. Both parties explored potential avenues for collaboration in the energy sector and beyond.
