ERIA and Thailand Reaffirm Commitment to ASEAN’s Sustainable Growth and Integration

Jakarta, 21 May 2025: ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe paid a courtesy visit to Her Excellency Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to ASEAN, at her office in Jakarta.

President Watanabe expressed his sincere appreciation to the Government of Thailand for its continued support of ERIA’s mission. He also highlighted the upcoming ERIA Governing Board and Ambassadors’ Meetings and thanked Thailand for its anticipated participation.

Ambassador Phantipha conveyed her appreciation for ERIA’s ongoing contributions to Thailand and the broader ASEAN region. She reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment and confirmed its readiness to take part in the upcoming meetings.

The two leaders held a productive exchange of views on key regional priorities, including trade, supply chain resilience, digitalisation, and healthcare. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to regional co-operation and explored opportunities for further collaboration to drive ASEAN’s economic integration and sustainable development.
