The delegates of Japanese Parliamentary League and Japanese Enterprises, led by H.E. Mr. Toshihiro Nikai, the Former Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan, visited Indonesia on April 24-27, 2013.The delegation visited ERIA on April 26, 2013 during their visit and Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director of ERIA and all ERIA staffs welcomed the delegation.

Mr. Nikai had the vision to propose establishment of ERIA in 2007 and has remained a strong supporter for ERIA as the Chairman of Parliamentary League for ERIA. The delegation included Mr. Motoo Hayashi, Member of Japanese House of Representatives (Vice Chairman of ERIA Parliamentary League) and Mr. Tadahiko Ito, Member of Japanese House of Representatives (Vice Secretary of ERIA Parliamentary League).

ERIA organized Welcoming Reception at Hotel Mulia, Jakarta, Indonesia on the same day. H.E. Mr. Le Luong Minh, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Ambassadors and representatives of embassies, senior officials of Indonesian Government, private sectors, members of academia, 50 executives from Japanese companies, and media attended the Reception.

H.E. Mr. Kimihiro Ishikane, Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN made remarks and commended ERIA's works. Mr. Iman Pambagyo, Director-General of International Trade Cooperation, Ministry of Trade of Indonesia showed Indonesia's strong support as the host country of ERIA and recounted the achievements of ERIA to the Japanese Parliamentary Mission.
