The Dean of the ERIA School of Government Pays a Courtesy Visit to the Secretary-General of ASEAN

Jakarta, 21 June 2024: The Dean of the ERIA School of Government, Prof. Nobuhiro Aizawa, paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Kao Kim Hourn. During the meeting, both parties engaged in a productive discussion on the establishment of the ERIA School of Government. They explored the concept of inviting eminent leaders from Southeast Asia to contribute to the Southeast Asian Institutional Memory Project, a significant initiative aimed at preserving and enhancing the institutional knowledge and governance practices within the region.

Prof. Aizawa expressed gratitude to the ASEAN Secretariat for their support and highlighted the potential impact of the ERIA School of Government in fostering regional leadership and public policy development.

H.E. Kao Kim Hourn and Prof. Aizawa expressed a strong mutual interest in closely collaborating to support the establishment and success of the ERIA School of Government. This partnership aims to further strengthen the ties between ERIA and ASEAN, enhancing their joint efforts in regional development and governance.
