On October 16th-17th, 2014, ERIA organized the final workshop of AEC Scorecard Phase IV in ERIA Office, Jakarta. The workshop was attended by the RIN members from 10 ASEAN Member States and a number of high level technical officials of the ASEAN Secretariat.

During the workshop, the delegation of RIN presented the survey findings on six issues in the AEC Scorecard Project, namely Service Liberalization, Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs) on Professional Services, Non-Tariff Measures (NTMs), Standard and Conformance, Trade Facilitation, and Investment Liberalization. The workshop focused on the difference between the AEC commitment and its actual implementation, the bottleneck of the implementation, and the way forward. Following the RIN presentation, representatives from ASEAN Secretariat provided feedback and clarification on the findings. Through this final workshop, it is expected that the information obtained during the discussion could become the input for monitoring the level of implementation of AEC in the region.
