Jakarta, 27 August 2025: As a follow-up to the ASEAN Capital Market Forum (ACMF) Deputies Meeting II held lin July, ERIA convened the ACMF Deputies Meeting II.I at its office in Jakarta. Held on 27 August 2025, the strategic session was designed to provide deeper analysis and insights into the ACMF’s key deliverables, particularly the ACMF Action Plan 2026–2030.
ERIA was represented by Dr Intan Murnira Ramli (Senior Policy Fellow) and Michelle Chandra Kasih (Research Associate). In her welcoming remarks, Dr Ramli encouraged the deputies to actively contribute and share their perspectives, underscoring the importance of collective input in shaping the Action Plan 2026–2030.
The meeting marked significant progress, with discussions focusing on detailed implementation of the proposed initiatives to strengthen regional capital market integration. Participants examined the draft Action Plan in depth, ensuring that ASEAN capital markets are strategically positioned to remain competitive globally.
These milestones were made possible through the collaborative drafting efforts of ERIA, the Securities Commission Malaysia, and EY Malaysia, with EY Indonesia providing additional insights on regional market trends.
More than 50 participants from all 10 ASEAN Member States, including ACMF Deputies and their teams, joined the session both in person and virtually. The refined draft will be presented at the upcoming Deputies Meeting III in Kuching, Malaysia, this September.
