Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology (AIIT) Students Showcase their Business Plan

The students from Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology (AIIT) led by Prof. Mitsuhiro Maeda visited ERIA Annex office on February 3,2014.

AIIT is running an education program to nurture project managers in this region. The students, mainly from business sectors, are studying one of ERIA's flagship projects, Comprehensive Asia Development Plan (CADP) as a case study.

After screening at AIIT, two qualified students came to ERIA and made a presentation on their business plans to economists and senior staff of ERIA.

Mr. Kiyoshi Egawa introduced a Project Proposal on the Construction of North-South High Speed Railway in Vietnam and Ms. Azusa Miyase introduced a Project Proposal of the Cambodian Railway Rehabilitation. A lively discussion was conducted between the students and economists of ERIA to make each project more concrete and realizable.

In conclusion, Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director of ERIA welcomed the challenging project proposals and said that the proposals from the students could be used for ERIA's PPP (Public-Private Partnership) projects.
