Editor's Roundtable on ASEAN Connectivity
Abstract
Southeast Asia and East Asia are rich and very diverse region. They are connected under the Masterplan of Asean Connectivity, which was launched in Ocober 2010. This connectivity will be a major driving force in realizing the Asean Community and beyond in 2015 and increase their overall competitiveness. Unlike Asean Free Trade Area in1992, the concept of Asean Connectivity is still fresh in the public mind and at the same time it is more complicated involving multilateral projects and cooperation.
Expected Outputs
This event has been expected to increase awareness and understandings on challenges facing Aseanand East Asia for editors based in the region and to establish network of editors writing on future of Asean and East Asia.
