Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director of ERIA, visited International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris, France on January 27, 2014 and had a meeting with H.E. Ms. Maria van der Hoeven, Executive Director of IEA.

Prof. Nishimura gave explanation on ERIA's activities focusing on the energy sector."We did it", said H.E. Ms. Maria, commending the ERIA-IEA collaboration on working on "Southeast Asia Energy Outlook" which was stated in the Chairman's Statement of the 8th East Asia Summit.

She said "With the ERIA's generous intellectual support, we could make the report to be complimented by the East Asia Leaders". H.E. Ms. Maria sought cooperation from ERIA for following up "Southeast Asia Energy Outlook" as the Ministers requested IEA and ERIA to do.
