ERIA Research Institute Network Meeting held in Phuket, Thailand

The second Research Institute Network Meeting (RINM) for ERIA for the year 2011 was held in Phuket, Thailand on 14 January 2012 under the Chairmanship of Dr. Hank Lim Giok-Hay from Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA).

ERIA's research projects and activities in the year 2011 were presented before the meeting. The meeting noted that since the ASEAN and East Asia Summit in November 2011, ERIA's role has grown as a regional institution. The RIN discussed the academic and administrative functions of ERIA. A theme paper on East Asia's integration was presented by the Prof. Gary Hawke, the RIN member from New Zealand. The meeting also exchanged ideas on reinforcing the Research Network process of ERIA.
