Roundtable Conference on Solar Supply Chain Development in North East India and ASEAN

Securing the regional supply chain for solar energy will have an important role to play in meeting the regional energy security in the coming years. The integrated single market of ASEAN provide an ample opportunity for the development of solar supply chain particularly in the North East India which would automatically enhance cross border energy trade opportunity.

In the above context, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) along with Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), Jakarta with the support of IIT Guwahati under the Aegis of G20 and B20, is organising a Roundtable Conference on 'Solar Supply Chain Development in Northeast India and ASEAN'.

The focus of the discussion would be on:

  • Barriers to scaling up domestic solar manufacturing capacity 
  • Enabling policies to increase the production capacity of local solar manufactures
  • Required international cooperation framework to create demand and supply
  • To evaluate the current status of Solar supply chain (V) Grid Integration for Solar development

A large number of policy makers, industry and academia are expected to participate in the discussion.
