In support of Indonesia’s 2023 ASEAN Chairmanship, Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, and the ongoing trade dialogues, the Canada-ASEAN Business Council (CABC) is hosting its flagship event and 5th edition of the Canada-ASEAN Business & Investment Forum on February 24th & 25th in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The 2-day Forum will gather 300 high-level government and business leaders for exchange on trade and investment topics of mutual interest to advance economic engagement between Canada and ASEAN. The Forum will increase Canadian businesses’ visibility, while connecting them with information sharing, networking, and potential future collaboration on the region’s pressing issues, including the future of Canada-ASEAN economic partnership and ongoing trade dialogues, agricultural trade & food security, energy transition, digital technology, sustainability, etc.

Objectives

This Forum aims to:
• Advance Canada’s strategic trade interests and ongoing trade negotiations with ASEAN and Indonesia
• Educate senior Canadian and ASEAN leaders about opportunities for deeper economic integration between the regions
• Provide high-quality, senior-level networking opportunities for top decision-makers within the Canada-ASEAN economic corridor
• Provide a platform to foster dialogue and conversations around topics most pertinent to the Canada-ASEAN business community, in order to drive action towards partnerships
• Deliver a key value offering to grow and support the CABC community
