Executive Director of ERIA, Mr. Hidetoshi Nishimura called on Dr. Shigemi Kitahara, Chairman of Kitahara Neurosurgical Institute Co., Ltd, Japan, on 18 May 2010.

ERIA is supporting Human Resource Development and Hospital Project (Phnom Penh, Cambodia) proposed by Kitahara Neurosurgical Institute Co., Ltd as one of ERIA's PPP project.

Cambodia is still suffering from the shortage of basic medical infrastructure including human resources and hospitals due to the damage of the civil war. The objectives of this project are to introduce human resource development for the medical sector and modern facilities like hospital specialized in neurosurgical and cardiology to serve the increasing needs.

Dr. Kitahara and Mr. Nishimura reaffirmed further cooperation to the project. Mr. Nishimura also expressed his expectation to the project and saying, "ERIA will make more contributions toward the completion of this project."
