• The Economic Outlook for Southeast Asia, China and India is an OECD's bi-annual publication - first launched in 2010 on Asia's economic growth, development and regional integration process. It focuses on the economic conditions of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam), China and India. The Outlook was formally included in the OECD Southeast Asia Regional Programme as a strategic foresight and policy dialogue tool in 2015.

• The 2016 edition of the Outlook is comprised of three main parts, each highlighting a particular dimension of recent economic developments in the region. The first part presents the regional economic monitor, depicting the medium-term economic outlook and macroeconomic challenges in the region. The second part addresses the special thematic focus of the Outlook, which in this edition is dedicated to the theme of "Enhancing regional ties". The third part presents the structural policy country notes of each Emerging Asian country.

• The Outlook 2016 was officially released at the occasion of the ASEAN/East Asia Summit in November 2015, which will be hosted by Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. The Update of the Outlook - mainly focused on macroeconomic and regional integration issues - will be released in the spring 2016.
